Peach Pie Moonshine Recipe (Easy Homemade Gift Idea)

| |

If youโ€™ve noticed the rise in popularity of moonshine lately, youโ€™re not alone. From pop culture references to flavored varieties lining store shelves, moonshine recipes have become a go-to for fun, homemade gifts.

While Iโ€™m not a huge fan of straight โ€œwhite lightning,โ€ I love flavored versionsโ€”especially anything fruity. Last year, I bought a few jars as Christmas gifts, but at around $25 per jar, it added up quickly. So this year, I decided to make my own peach pie moonshine recipeโ€”and Iโ€™m so glad I did!

Not only is it incredibly delicious, but itโ€™s also budget-friendly. After pricing out ingredients and mason jars, it comes out to about $6 per jar. Thatโ€™s a huge win when youโ€™re gifting multiple people!

Why Youโ€™ll Love This Peach Pie Moonshine

  • ๐Ÿ‘ Sweet, smooth peach flavor with a hint of spice
  • ๐ŸŽ Perfect DIY gift for holidays, parties, or hostess gifts
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Budget-friendly compared to store-bought versions
  • ๐Ÿซ™ Makes a large batch (great for sharing!)

My Inspiration

A friend brought peach pie moonshine to a New Yearโ€™s Eve party last year, and I couldnโ€™t stop thinking about it. It had the perfect blend of peach sweetness and cinnamon warmthโ€”just like a slice of peach pie in a jar.

I adapted a recipe I found online and tweaked it to get the flavor just right. I even created my own custom jar labels (because cute packaging makes everything better, right?).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Note: This recipe uses Everclear, so itโ€™s technically not traditional moonshineโ€”but it delivers the same bold flavor. If you ever get access to authentic moonshine, you can absolutely substitute it!

๐Ÿ‘ Peach Pie Moonshine Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 (64 oz) bottles white grape peach juice
  • 2 (15 oz) cans sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 2 ยฝ โ€“ 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6โ€“7 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle Everclear
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle peach schnapps

Instructions

Step 1: Combine Ingredients
In a large stockpot, combine the peach juice, canned peaches (with syrup), sugar, and cinnamon sticks.

Step 2: Heat & Simmer
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. This helps develop that rich peach pie flavor.

Step 3: Remove Cinnamon & Cool
Remove the cinnamon sticks and allow the mixture to cool completely to room temperature.

Step 4: Add Alcohol
Once cooled, stir in the Everclear and peach schnapps.

Step 5: Strain
Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined strainer to remove peach solids and any remaining cinnamon pieces.

Step 6: Jar & Store
Ladle into mason jars. You can divide some of the peaches into the jars if youโ€™d like!

Yield

  • 12โ€“14 pint-sized jars
  • 6โ€“7 quart-sized jars

Perfect for gifting and keeping a few jars for yourself ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tips for Gifting

  • Add a cinnamon stick to each jar for presentation
