Ghoulish Glam Halloween Wreath

Halloween is coming quickly and to celebrate I gathered together the creative minds of some of my talented blogging friends to bring you over 110 fabulous Halloween ideas! From costumes to parties, crafts and home decor, recipes and free printables, we have so many fun ideas to share! I guarantee you’ll find a project (or 10!) that you would love to incorporate into your Halloween festivities. All week (Monday through Saturday) myself and my blogging friends will be sharing our fun creations with all of you. Each day will include approximately 20 Halloween projects and you can “hop” from one blog to another to check them all out.

For my project, I’m sharing how to make this Ghoulish Glam Halloween Wreath.  This is my first Halloween wreath that I’ve ever made or hung up, and I really wanted something that was a bit different.  I was inspired by the black roses and glittered skull stems at Michaels and knew they would make such a gorgeous addition to a wreath.

I started with a regular grapevine wreath and painted it with black spray paint.  It really gives it such a spooky feel.

I bought these glittered skull and rose stems from Michaels.  It was such a tossup between the skulls and the glittered pumpkins also there, but the skulls won out.  

To attach the skull stems, I just wrapped the wire stem through the wreath.  It actually secured them really well, so I didn’t bother with gluing them.  The roses pulled easily off of their wire stems and I hot glued them to the wreath.

Parts of the wreath around the roses felt a little empty, so I snipped the leaves off of the stems that the roses were on and added them to the wreath as well.

I happened to also have a bag with halloween vase fillers of glittered balls and spiders.  The spiders were a perfect addition and added a pop of color to the wreath.  

I am so very happy with how my very first Halloween wreath turned out!  It’s a step outside of my comfort zone, but I love it!
