Happy Saturday, everyone! Can you believe it’s September? I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to start getting into double digit temps. I’ve been working hard on projects around the house and this two-toned farmhouse cabinet is my latest design!
I’ve teamed up with RYOBI Nation to bring you the tutorial and plans for this gorgeous farmhouse cabinet, and I’ve even got a $300 RYOBI Power Tools giveaway! Be sure to check that out and enter at the end of this post.
I decided with this project to step outside of my normal wood species of choice and built the doors out of red oak. I really wanted them to have a weathered finish and the deep grain of the oak was perfect to achieve this look. I’m kind of in love with how they turned out. I always associated oak with those gigantic, one ton entertainment centers everyone’s parents had (mine included) back in the 80s and 90s, but it really is such a beautiful wood to work with.
On top of the project tutorial on RYOBI Nation, I’ve also created a video tutorial to go along with it! Be sure to check that out and, while you’re there, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel!
Also, be sure you pin this project for later, because you know you’re going to want to add it to your project list. It really is such a simple project. It’s amazing how simply adding molding can transform something ordinary into something extraordinary!
