Hey guys! I’m participating in another blog swap and today I’m so excited to introduce you to Stacy from Not Just A Housewife! Stacy is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and I’m so happy that I get to call her my friend. She is so incredibly talented and I love seeing everything that she creates and shares on her blog. I absolutely know that you will to, so without further adieu…
Meet Stacy!
Hello! I just love the title of Katie’s blog. Once you try DIYing, you definitely get addicted! Katie is so talented and I am honored to be her blog friend and real life friend.
My name is Stacy Risenmay and I blog about everything home and garden. I love building, growing, and decorating. My favorite thing to do is to makeover a space, whether it be outside or in. I’m going to share some of my favorite budget room makeovers with you today!
My most recent makeover was for two of my boys. They love all things nature, especially spending time in the mountains close to our home.
Before:
I had taken apart their old bunk beds so they were sleeping on the floor for awhile before the makeover started.
After:
New flooring, baseboards and paint made it a nice blank space to work with. Then I painted an IKEA dresser, added some new chairs and built beds complete with a fort underneath.
You can see the whole makeover HERE.
I redid my friend’s laundry room in one weekend for less than $200. It went from build grade basic to bold and trendy!

Another budget makeover I did an about one weekend was this fun green boy’s room. My neighbor wanted to fix up her son’s room to better fit his personality, better utilize the TINY space, and have it be something he could grow into (AKA not too babyish). He loves green so I ran with that 🙂

Sometimes I get to play around with a bigger budget. I created a luxurious walk-in closet for my sister after she bought a very builder basic house.

Like I said, I makeover spaces inside and out. I turned my ugly side yard into a secret garden!

Thank you for letting me hang out today! I’d love for you to stop by and see all the other things I do on my site.
