Hey there, everyone! I’m pretty stoked to be sharing with you all the first phase in my kitchen and dining room remodel. It’s been a LONG time coming and finally the proverbial ground has been broken. I’m kicking off this project with my dining room wall. I’ve partnered with HomeRight to bring you this faux shiplap wall project and you can find the full tutorial over on the HomeRight DIY site. HomeRight was also generous enough to let me host a giveaway for THREE of their PaintStick EZ Twist rollers, so make sure you enter to win at the end of this post! I’ve also included affiliate links for your to purchase your own PaintStick roller, should you not want to wait for the giveaway to end;)
I used my PaintStick to quickly and easily paint the ‘shiplap’ wall once the planks were installed. When I say quickly, I mean my kids only had a half day that day and I was REALLY short on time. By the time I finished installing the last plank and started painting, I had about an hour before I had to leave. Thankfully, my PaintStick EZ Twist allowed me to roll on two coats of paint and still have time left to spare. The longest part of this whole process is waiting for the paint to dry between coats! I’ve used this roller in so many rooms of my house already and I absolutely love using it.
I’ve always wanted to install a shiplap wall and the “after” of this project has me feeling so excited to keep working on this remodel. The wall in the “before” picture was so bland and boring. It begged to have something done to it to give it some life. Now the wall has a crisp, clean farmhouse look to it! Don’t forget, you can find the full tutorial over on HomeRight DIY.
Are you ready for the giveaway?? Just follow the instructions below to enter to win! This giveaway will end at 11:59 p.m. March 10th. All entrants must be US residents age 18 or older. Void in Alaska and Hawaii. The THREE winners will be chosen at random and notified via email. Winners will have 48 hours to claim their prize or a new winner will be randomly chosen. Thanks for entering and good luck!

I have a huge project in the planning stages right now. I am going to paint my entry, kitchen, dining room and hallway in my home. I am also planning to paint my cupboards. The paint stick would be sooooo helpful with my project! Especially since it is all going to be the same color!

It is time to update and paint just about every room in our house. We’re starting with the bedroom, but have a long way to go, and this would be great!

I think I’d paint my dining room….again….for the 4th time in 3 years. I just can’t settle on the right color. I’ve even tried those testers..I think I like it…then I don’t . A paint stick would help me change those paint colors quicker!
