Happy Monday, everyone! Over the past few months I’ve been working hard to build my oldest son a set of furniture for his room. This past week, I finally finished the last piece! I’ve teamed up with Build Something to share the plans with you today. You can get the FREE plans and so many others over at Build Something.
This dresser is such a HUGE upgrade from the 3 drawer IKEA Malm chest that my son been stuffing his clothes into since he was 2. Yes, 2! No matter how many times I tried to keep it all organized, it just wasn’t working anymore.
I love the rustic, reclaimed look that this dresser and the rest of his bedroom furniture has! It’s something that can grow with him and he can even take it with him when he’s grows up and moves out. If that ever happens. At the moment, he’s planning to live with us forever; even after he gets married. He says families stay together, and who can argue with that?!
You can find the tutorial for the nightstand and how I get the look of “saw marks” in the wood HERE. You can also get the tutorial and plans for the matching full size bed HERE. There’s a few more details I need to add to his room, but once I’m finished I’ll share the full reveal. After that, it’s on to little brother’s room:)
As always, I love seeing what you have created, so if you build this or any other projects I’ve shared, be sure to share them with me! Tag me on Instagram at @addicted2diy or shoot me an email with pictures. I’d love to feature your creations!
