Every year, we host Christmas Eve brunch and we always serve mimosas. Usually I just place everything on the counter, but I’ve always dreamed of setting up a beautiful mimosa bar for Christmas Eve. Since I now have my beautiful new IKEA Hack Bar Cabinet to serve drinks, I get to make the pretty mimosa bar I’ve always wanted!
I purchased carafes at Target earlier this year for around $5 each. The champagne glasses are also from Target for $1 apiece. I love to serve the typical orange juice mimosas, but last year I decided to also try grapefruit juice and it is so unbelievably good! The pomegranate arils were an idea I got from my friend Angela from Life in Velvet. If you’ve never tried pomegranate arils in your mimosa, you’re going to love them!
I purchased the chalkboard sign on sale at Kohls and hand drew the chalk lettering. It took a while, but I love the end result! I found some chalkboard fonts on Google and just did my best to duplicate them for my sign. I made the yarn pom pom garland with some fun pom pom makers I bought at Michaels.
To make sure we don’t have any confusion, we have ornament wine glass charms. I purchased this fun little glass tree and ornament charms from Pier One a few years ago. I love how festive it makes the glasses! Amazingly, with two little boys, it has survived the past 5 Christmases. Fingers crossed I didn’t just jinx myself!I can’t wait for Christmas Eve to arrive! I love having our families over for brunch and getting to spend some time with them. This year is extra special because my husband’s grandmother flew into town from Texas, which is quite the feat for a 90 year old to do by herself! We are so fortunate to get to spend this Christmas with her. Do you host a brunch for Christmas? What is your favorite part?
